This is Karan Singh (aka staticbit) and this is my first official blog post! (whew… finally!)
The Short Version:
I’m a koffaholic coder who loves tweaking around tech. A big fan of optimization and a cross platform junkie. I am a full stack developer with experience in a broad spectrum of languages and environments. Apart from everything tech, I love rain, food, gaming, and tv.
The Full Story….
I’ve been fascinated by computers since my first persistent memories. Got so hooked to the ’93 Skunny series, that had barely learnt to write, but was able to type out the DOS commands to run the games! 😛 Its been over 2 decades now, yet, every day I find something captivating that makes me want to learn something new.
My passion led me to Engineering. That’s where I fell in love with code. There are so many languages, each with their own strengths and quirks. It’s fun to experiment around and mix em up. That’s how I ended up with a broad spectrum programming experience.
My need for perfection and attention to detail led to digging through all the layers a software runs through, attempting to optimize all of them and getting a good end product. Its a great feeling to see code snippets from different nodes of the stack coming together and working in sync.
I’m an avid gamer; but I play just to play! (Unlike pros or n00b hunters). Music (especially the piano) and Rain are my soul candy. Both have the power to turn my head around from the craziest of situations… Speaking of crazy, another escape from the mad rush of life, is immersing myself in marathons of TV shows… (I’ve seen so many of ‘em; it’s hard to believe the count sometimes :O)
I believe that Life, is simple, but we make it complicated in our heads.. If we try and sort out each strand one at a time, we could make sense of the worst of messes. If we just believe in ourselves and work hard in the right direction, almost anything is achievable.
And Nike, is so right. Instead of thinking around and making plans, sometimes its best to Just Do It! That’s how this blog finally kicked off…
